The pursuit of perfection yields beauty, yet it also brings suffering. Initially driven by expression, this journey often shifts towards an unending quest for perfection. “Emerald Green” draws inspiration from Irving Stone’s The Agony and the Ecstasy and the ethereal beauty of the High Renaissance. Just as a master sculptor transforms hard, heavy marble into elegant forms, I aimed to capture the delicate essence of a flower’s petal. This work reflects the paradox of creation - how striving for perfection can both elevate and burden the artistic soul.
